Throughout the year hundreds of players within each county receive specialist coaching as part of the County Academy & Development Squad Programmes. These programmes are aimed at players from U-14 right through to U-17. The Academies are aimed at U-14 players with the Development Squads aimed at U-15, U-16 and U-17 players. All of these players benefit from a comprehensive programme of expert coaching, advice and experience culminating in a series of blitz days, (see timetable below).

Over the last number of years we have been refining the structures, systems and content to ensure that the best programme is delivered to our players, 

The fundamental philosophy is to educate the players on all aspects of the game and to inspire each player to achieve his potential. It is for the players and coaches to understand that the playing destination of a player is dependent on him pursuing a detailed, committed and meticulous personal development pathway.

It is the role of the Academy/Development structures and systems to provide this pathway.
